Joel Gonzales, M.D., a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon, joined Orthopedic Associates in 2001. His special interests include the treatment of sports related injuries of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Gonzales received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Virginia. He attended medical school at George Washington University. His internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery were completed at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Gonzales completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Orthopedic Research of Virginia. Dr. Gonzales is a member of the Arthroscopy Association of North America, Colorado Orthopedic Society and Colorado Medical Society. He is the head team physician for the Colorado Crush, and a consulting physician for the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets. Dr. Gonzales enjoys spending time with his wife and 4 children, skiing, fishing and motorcross.
